Vaishnavi Kolkata recently bagged the prestigious mandate of the FMCG conglomerate Emami Limited. The company which started as a manufacturer and marketer of beauty products, toiletry and cosmetics way back in 1974 is today a major player in the country’s FMCG sector and has diversified into the fields of paper, ball pen tips, hospital, bio diesel, edible oil, cement, real estate and retail.

Vaishnavi will be responsible for the Emami Limited's corporate image building and providing communications strategy for their FMCG brands as well as their biodiesel business.

       
    Confederation of Indian Industries (CII)
 
   

Vaishnavi Delhi bagged Confederation of Indian Industries is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry led and industry managed organization. Founded over 112 years ago, CII adopts a partnership approach with the government on various national and international issues concerning the Indian economy. CII has a direct membership of over 7000 organisations from the private as well as public sectors, including SMEs and MNCs, and an indirect membership of over 90,000 companies from around 362 national and regional sectoral associations. CII works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the growth of industry in India, partnering industry and government alike through advisory and consultative processes. As a facilitator, CII catalyses change by working closely with government on policy issues, enhancing efficiency, competitiveness and expanding business opportunities for industry through a range of specialised services and global linkages. It also provides a platform for sectoral consensus building and networking.

Vaishnavi will provide strategic counsel to CII in the area of communications management both nationally and internationally. Vaishnavi would create positive disposition towards CII’s role, its various verticals & properties. The engagement will focus on achieving long term goals & communication objectives. CII will benefit from the domain knowledge that Vaishnavi brings on table through its experienced communication consultants. Vaishnavi will bring in more energetic, fresh, fast-paced and analytical communication plan, keeping in mind the requirements of CII

 
       
    Avahan- India AIDS initiative of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation  
    Another prestigious account bagged by Vaishnavi Delhi is The Avahan India AIDS Initiative. The initiative, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and managed by an in-country foundation team, is a large and ambitious HIV prevention program. Avahan is in its fifth year of operation, reaching populations most at risk including nearly 200,000 female sex workers, 60,000 men who have sex with men and transgenders, 20,000 injecting drug users and about 5 million men at risk. Seven grantees, working with 134 local non-governmental organizations, provide HIV prevention services. They include peer outreach, education and communication around HIV prevention, prevention commodity distribution (condoms and where appropriate needle/syringe exchange), and treatment of other (non-HIV) sexually transmitted infections.
 
    Avahan's ten year charter has the following three distinct parts:
 
    1. To build and operate a scaled HIV prevention program, with saturated coverage for those most at risk, in the six states (Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka in the south, Maharashtra in the west, and Manipur and Nagaland in the northeast) which account for the bulk of HIV infections in India
 
    2. To transfer the program to the Government of India and other implementers in the country  
    3. To encourage the replication of best practices by fostering and disseminating learnings from the program  
         
    Avahan has several other grantees who play roles in capacity building, national level advocacy, mass communication, evaluation, and knowledge building.
 
    Vaishnavi will be involved in the following areas  
    •  To sensitize the target audience by educating and creating awareness on HIV prevention in India
 
    •  To build credibility for the initiatives taken by Avahan by demonstrating its success  
    •  To increase reportage in the media about AIDS, sensitize the issue and garner media support  
    •  To maximize media participation in fighting against the global epidemic
 
    •  To position Avahan as a leader in facilitating HIV prevention & education by profiling its key spokesperson
 
    •  Disseminate useful information about Avahan to the media with a focus on results and lesson learnt
 
    •  Communicate effectively in India about the overall mission and activities of the gates Foundation’s Global Health Program
